...this was way way back then...i was still in elementary level when i joined a Legion Of Mary in the Espiritu Santo Parish Church in Tayuman,Sta.Cruz District. Every Sunday morning at about 8am ...i was always fetched by a senior member ... the guys'name is Perry early so we can set up the table in the appointed hall of the church before other members arrived....Usually each table will have a Mother Mary Statue provide by the church,,,a small one...ours have a small MCOOJ printed in the back...which means.."Mary Cause of Our Joy...thats our praesedium name...(we were a junior praesidia of ...i cant remember the name..but its usually taken form the Litany of the Blessed Mary)...then the meeting shall begin with a Holy Rosary....after that ...attendance calling....but here when ur name is called ,you not only present yourself but also state how many times did you prayed the rosary that week...heheh...at that i average around three times a week only...thats the most memorable part for me...coz it elicit some laughter when members got zero rosary with all sorts of excuses ahahah..remember we were just around 10-19 yrs old mostly in that praesidium...
other activities i remember i've done with the MCOOJ...is the Block Rosary Movement...we we're give a block area... we are responsible for hunting neghbours that will recieved the Novena Movement for 9 days in their house...sometimes if the family doe'sn't know the rosary...we have to lead them at praying almost every day for 9 days..!
also we did some jail visit....that i vaguely remembered..the senior members usually do the talking...we were just present for numbers.....
that was a time in my life ..i was introduced to our Mother...
